The Black Lives Matter Movement Is In Full Effect In The UK

Following the police-related death of George Floyd in America on, 25th May 2020, the UK people have taken to the streets and used this as a trigger to highlight the unfair, systematic and institutional racism aimed towards the black people here in the UK.

I've always been very vocal about the Black Lives Matter movement; as well as how differently black people are treated in the UK to white people and I've had to go back and forth with a few racist and ignorant-ass people on social media who needed to be educated on what the word 'Racism' actually means.

RACISM: "Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior"

"What do people not understand? Black people have been made to feel that their race is beneath the white race, as to why the black people were slaves and not the white people."

I've been wanting to write a post for a minute now but I've just been so pissed with everything I have been seeing.

From the treatment of the protesters in the US to the racist comments being made by some white people on Twitter - it's getting to me.

After seeing the video online of UK Rapper Wretch 32's father being handled aggressively (see video below) by police and another video of a group of white people throwing bottles after two black men in Coventry as they try to shield themselves behind a commercial dustbin (Video below as well) but the police don't focus on the group no, the police handcuff one of the black men. It is so blatantly obvious how differently black people are treated in this country that they would swear on the Union Flag wasn't racist.

The video of Wretch 32's - (who I will be calling Jermaine from now on) - father infuriated me.

Seeing a 62-year-old man tasered and falling down a flight of stairs banging his head in the process angered me.

This should not be happening especially considering that  Jermaine's 62-year-old father was not the suspect the police were looking for.

The video going around of the incident in Coventry has been said it was because the two black boys had brandished a knife at the white group, BUT what does racist chants like, "Go Home, Go Home!" have to do with anything and as you will see in the video there is only one person carrying an offensive weapon and that would be one of the white boys.

Had this been a group of black boys the police would have interacted totally differently with them.

The excuses I have been seeing for the actions of these white men shows me how unintelligent these privileged people can be.

Whether these men had a knife or not...what does race have to do with anything?

This is what happens when black people see a white man threatening them with a weapon.

"No racial words just an ass whopping....but the racist don't do that because they're PUSSIES."
