Ishawna Calls For Equal Rights & Justice!!!

Dancehall Artist Ishawna is making a huge name for herself in and outside of Jamaica with her new song "Equal Rights".

Ishawna has done something many Jamaicans, male and female would stay far from and I have to say I respect her for being open, real and honest.

The song is very direct and speaks openly about cunnilingus.

Ed Sheeran
Ishawna's song uses Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" beat which is dope. With it being a reggae-influenced beat, Ishawna fits it perfectly.

Many people in the Dancehall community have shown less appreciation for this kind of candidness. Which is such a shame.

Kiprich appeared on OnStage TV

Dancehall Artiste, Kiprich appeared on my favourite Internet programme, "OnStage TV", he spoke about his new song, "No Eating Rights".

Kiprich's song is a counteraction to Ishawna's and shows that Jamaica is still a very much close-minded place.

I truly believed Jamaica had advanced when it came to topics like this. The male artist have been alluding to the subject of fellatio for so long, but find it hard listening to a woman speaking about what pleasures her.

"Jamaicans are people who like to hide things which don't necessarily fit into the "Jamaican way"."

I use the word hide because I do not believe for one minute that NOT ONE man in Jamaica has performed oral sex. They do it but hide it.

So my reaction to Kiprich is....

"Back to my girl Ishawna."

I recently saw an interview with Ishawna on Sway's Sirius Radio Show and to say I was impressed by her 'Freestyle' is an understatement.

"She kilt it."

Interview (Freestyle 27:37) below:

This song has propelled Ishawna to worldwide acknowledgement and along with her lyrics, pretty looks and sexiness she can go real far.

My new 'One 2 Watch". I can actually see her doing collaborations with so many different artist outside of Jamaica.

The one disappointing thing is that obviously the song has not been cleared by Ed's camp which means it is unable to be uploaded onto legit streaming sites like iTunes or Spotify.

"Come on Ed a Reggae-Remix of 'Shape Of You.' is needed."

"Spice is really going to need to step up her game...?"
