Earlier this week (16/08/2016) Grime artist Wiley put out a tweet asking to be interviewed.
I've seen a couple interviews with Wiley and the one thing you can say about him is that he's very straightforward.
Wiley explains why his interaction with the media is so limited, his brother Cadell's involvement in Eskimo Dance and what to expect from his soon to be released album, The Godfather.
My favourite part of the interview is when the topic of clashing is brought up and I have to agree with Wiley when he says,
"This generation, they're different. Man are more touchy." - Wiley.
The MC's need to start learning about the true meaning of a clash. Go back to the hardcore days of sting where the likes of Mighty Crown and Stone Love are telling each other about there 'what's it what's it.'
If you can't handle the true foundation of the music, then stay away from it. The sensitivity is too much.
"If you don't like war, don't listen to war, don't get involved in the bumbaclart war."
It's so dope when you read or watch an interview and see/hear the words that you have spoken many times before.
I wish I had been brave enough to ask..."Next time."
Check out the interview along with an EXCLUSIVE 'Best of Wiley' mix by DJ Complex.
