There's a video circulating online of a black schoolgirl being attacked by a group of white people outside of Thomas Kyvnett College in Ashford.
In the video the black girl is approached by a woman; who looks too grown to be fighting with a child. The woman drags the school girl to the floor and starts to throw punches, the black girl gets the upper-hand and that's when you see other people get involved, including a girl in school uniform and another young girl rocking her Sports Direct gear. The woman holding the camera, encouraging this foolishness, is heard yelling "punch her face in" and "kick her in the face."

I could only watch the video once, that was enough for me - especially after seeing the young black girl's braids pulled out.
One of the things that really got me upset was seeing grown men driving past and not even trying to intervene and stop the onslaught.

Then to see how slowly the teachers approached the situation was mind-blowing. As a parent of secondary school-age children you're expecting your child to be safe and looked after. I know fights sometimes happens after school, but back in my days the teachers were far more militant, they were like police. Teachers would stand at the bus stop and made sure the children representing the school well. No way could a parent or grown woman come to school to fight one of their students.
These two teachers were absolute trash and allegedly one of the teachers is the Principal at the school, Mr Beeson.

Does this school not have a safeguarding policy in place?
Why was their student not protected?
The school have posted an email they sent to parents on their Twitter account.

This doesn't change a thing...a generic letter trying to pacify parents is not enough. The public have seen what the teachers really think of the children they're supposed to be looking after.
Surrey police have confirmed that four people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted racially aggravated grievous bodily harm (GBH), including a 39-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl, and two 11-year-old girls. The 39-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of child neglect and intentionally encouraging and assisting the commission of an indictable only offence. The 16-year-old girl was also arrested on suspicion of malicious communications. A 15-year-old girl remains outstanding.
